Autonomize AI released Version 3 of its Intelligence Platform on Wednesday, a healthcare-specific agent runtime designed to handle the compliance complexity that makes deploying AI agents in clinical environments fundamentally different from general enterprise use. The Austin-based company says the platform is already live in production at three of the five largest U.S. health enterprises.
What v3 Delivers
The release introduces 160+ pre-built healthcare-native AI agents, over 50 system connectors, and a governance framework that lets organizations activate AI within days rather than months, according to the official announcement.
At the core is what Autonomize calls the Knowledge Center: a context graph of over 10 million clinical, regulatory, and coverage concepts that provides structured intelligence across three layers. The first is machine-readable representations of policies, guidelines, and clinical logic. The second is a real-time view of each case as it evolves. The third is longitudinal traces of decisions, actions, and outcomes over time.
The agents built on this foundation cover prior authorization, care management, claims processing, member experience, and payment integrity workflows, per GlobeNewsWire. Built-in governance enforces rules, constraints, and compliance requirements at every step, with a closed-loop feedback system that continuously improves based on outcomes.
The Healthcare-Specific Problem
The platform targets a well-documented bottleneck. Nine in ten physicians report that prior authorization delays access to necessary care, according to research by the American Medical Association cited in the announcement. But authorization is one of dozens of administrative burdens: referral management, claims processing, care coordination, and clinical documentation all consume hours of staff time each week across fragmented systems.
Previous waves of healthcare IT, from EHRs to revenue cycle platforms to digital health tools, “increased complexity rather than reducing it,” moving bottlenecks downstream rather than eliminating them, per Autonomize. The v3 platform positions itself as a coordination layer that replaces fragmented point solutions with orchestrated multi-agent workflows.

Databricks released Agent Bricks with governed enterprise agent capabilities through Unity Catalog.
Healthcare’s compliance requirements, including HIPAA, PHI handling, audit trails, and liability around AI-assisted clinical decisions, make it the vertical where agent governance isn’t optional.
