Adobe, NVIDIA, and WPP announced an expanded collaboration deploying autonomous AI agents into enterprise marketing operations, combining Adobe’s creative platforms with NVIDIA’s OpenShell secure runtime and WPP’s global media expertise. The partnership, revealed at Adobe Summit and detailed on the NVIDIA blog, centers on Adobe CX Enterprise Coworker, an agentic system designed to orchestrate the full marketing lifecycle from content creation to customer engagement activation.

What the Agents Do

The agents handle end-to-end creative production workflows: generating on-brand assets, adapting them across formats and markets, versioning for audiences, and activating personalized customer experiences. According to NVIDIA, the system targets scenarios like a global retailer delivering the right offer, image, copy, and price across millions of product, audience, and channel combinations, “updated in minutes instead of months.”

Content generation runs through Adobe Firefly Foundry, accelerated by NVIDIA AI infrastructure, which lets organizations fine-tune custom models on proprietary brand assets. A 3D digital twin solution built on NVIDIA Omniverse and OpenUSD is now generally available, providing persistent product identities that agents use to automate high-fidelity content creation across configurations.

The Governance Model

The critical infrastructure layer is NVIDIA OpenShell, a containerized sandbox runtime that isolates agent execution within policy-driven guardrails. Every agent operates in a sandboxed environment with verifiable policy management, answering what NVIDIA describes as the question “What can the agent do?” rather than just “What policy is in place?”

OpenShell provides enterprise-grade control, consistency, and auditability across the marketing lifecycle. Agents running inside the sandbox remain observable, governed, and auditable. Enterprises can keep key workflows and intelligence services inside their trust boundary, including securely invoking Adobe CX Intelligence as part of customer experience agents, according to NVIDIA.

Broader Ecosystem Play

Adobe is positioning CX Enterprise as a multi-agent orchestration platform that connects across enterprise tools. According to Adobe’s announcement, Adobe Marketing Agent is now generally available in Microsoft 365 Copilot and in beta across Amazon Quick, Anthropic Claude Enterprise, ChatGPT Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise, and IBM watsonx Orchestrate. Over 20,000 global brands currently run on Adobe’s platforms.

“Marketers shouldn’t have to choose between their organization’s AI tools and the marketing capabilities required to drive impactful outcomes,” said Amit Ahuja, SVP of product for Customer Experience Orchestration at Adobe, in the company’s press release.

The Sandbox Runtime as Competitive Differentiator

The partnership signals that policy-governed execution environments are becoming a prerequisite for enterprise agent deployment in high-stakes verticals. Marketing teams managing brand assets, customer data, and regulatory compliance across global markets can’t afford agents operating outside defined boundaries. OpenShell’s approach, containerizing agent execution with verifiable policy enforcement rather than relying on prompt-level guardrails alone, reflects the same architectural pattern emerging across enterprise agent platforms: isolation first, then autonomy within those constraints.
