ConnectWise announced the expansion of zofiQ, its AI platform for managed service providers and IT teams, into a fully agentic system that executes service operations autonomously rather than generating recommendations for humans to act on, according to GlobeNewswire on April 27.

Oversight Agent as Governance Layer

The centerpiece of the expansion is an Oversight Agent that continuously monitors tickets, SLAs, and the activity of other agents in the system. It proactively identifies risks, flags inconsistencies, and ensures service standards are maintained, functioning as an embedded governance layer rather than a post-hoc audit tool.

This architecture, combining autonomous execution agents with a supervisory agent, directly addresses the primary objection enterprise IT buyers raise about agent deployments: accountability. The Oversight Agent creates a continuous compliance loop where autonomous actions are monitored against defined service thresholds in real time.

Early Partner Results

ConnectWise cited early partner results in the announcement. Zohaib Javid, Service Desk Team Lead at Fusion Computing, reported an 86% reduction in escalations since integrating zofiQ. Fusion Computing CEO Mike Pearlstein said the system “feels like we added two extra analysts to our team, without hiring.” Dan Olson, CEO of Peak Global Solutions, described zofiQ as “the operational heartbeat of our service desk.” Sam Gridley, CEO of Intech Hawaii, reported saving 30+ hours on Microsoft configuration work through the auto-triage agent alone.

Embedded, Not Bolted On

zofiQ operates natively within ConnectWise’s PSA (professional services automation) environment, where service work already happens. The agents handle ticket triage, routing, administrative tasks, and closed-loop workflows from intake through resolution. They surface contextual insights from historical ticket data and identify recurring issues and customer sentiment patterns.

“MSPs don’t need more AI that merely makes suggestions. They need systems that can actually do the work,” said Lee Silverstone, SVP of Product AI Platform at ConnectWise, per GlobeNewswire.

IT Ops as Agent Proving Ground

The MSP market has structural properties that make it a natural early adopter for autonomous agents: high ticket volume, repetitive Tier 1/Tier 2 tasks, clear SLA-based success metrics, and chronic staffing constraints. ConnectWise’s approach of pairing execution agents with an oversight agent mirrors the governance-first architectures emerging across enterprise agent platforms, from Microsoft’s Agent Governance Toolkit to ServiceNow’s agentic workflows.
