Trust3 AI, a unified data and AI governance platform, announced on April 21 a native integration with Google Cloud’s Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Vertex AI Agent Builder. The integration adds policy enforcement, compliance mapping, and observability to Gemini-powered and multi-model AI agents, according to PRNewswire.
The Problem
As enterprises move from single-prompt chatbots to multi-agent systems, three risks compound: uncontrolled agent sprawl, opaque decision-making, and fragmented governance across data, models, and tools. Google’s ADK and Vertex AI provide the orchestration layer, but without a unified trust layer, enterprises cannot ensure that every agent action respects data policies and regulatory obligations across clouds and applications.
What Trust3 AI Adds
Trust3 AI deploys automated “Trust Agents” that continuously monitor and control how agents access data, call tools, and take actions. Key capabilities, per the press release:
- Policy-Aware Agents: Every agent request is evaluated against natural-language policies, intent-based PBAC (Policy-Based Access Control), and regulatory frameworks including GDPR, HIPAA, and the EU AI Act.
- Unified Catalog: Bridges raw data sources, governed datasets, and AI applications for end-to-end traceability of agent activity, including which data was accessed, under what policies, and for what purpose.
- Trust Agents for Multi-Agent Topologies: Specialized agents monitor delegation, session state sharing, and cross-agent orchestration, detecting risky behaviors and hallucination-prone patterns in real time with automatic intervention or escalation to human approval.
- A2A Protocol Integration: Extends governance to Google’s Agent2Agent protocol, adding consistent trust and audit layers to cross-vendor agent interactions.
“Agentic systems are only as valuable as they are trustworthy,” said Christophe Hassaine, VP of Alliance at Trust3 AI, in the announcement. Trust3 AI already provides governance for data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, and Starburst.
Regulated Industry Enabler
The integration is positioned to unblock agent adoption in industries where compliance requirements have stalled deployments. Healthcare organizations bound by HIPAA, financial institutions under GDPR, and any enterprise subject to the EU AI Act now have a path to deploying agents on Google Cloud with governance baked in from the start, rather than retrofitted after production issues surface.
