Five startups presenting at VB Transform 2026 are building infrastructure for a problem that individual agent frameworks have not solved: how multiple autonomous agents coordinate, verify each other’s outputs, and produce audit trails when something goes wrong.

The presentations, reported by VentureBeat, cover five distinct gaps in enterprise agent deployment: multi-agent orchestration, agentic cyber defense, runtime observability, secure agent authorization, and autonomous customer experience.

BAND: Agent-to-Agent Communication

BAND is building a coordination infrastructure layer for multi-agent systems. Vlad Luzin, CTO and co-founder, told VentureBeat that existing communication platforms were built for humans: “Agents have to be onboarded manually in numerous steps, and they can’t see each other; they are still alone in a kind of digital solitary confinement.”

BAND’s approach abstracts agent communication from specific channels and platforms, allowing agents to discover each other, delegate subtasks, and share results across conversational spaces. The platform supports autonomous workflows running 8 to 20 hours and is compatible with both A2A and MCP protocols, according to Luzin. Humans can join agent conversations in progress.

Conifers: Agentic Cyber Defense

Conifers has made individual components of cyber defense (intelligence, hunting, detection, investigation, response) agentic, then connected them so the systems communicate with each other in real time. Tom Findling, CEO and co-founder, told VentureBeat that their system is condensing containment time from 7 hours to 12 minutes and turning around complex cyber investigations in four minutes or less.

“The threat landscape is changing, detection stays the same, and threat intelligence is not being operationalized,” Findling said. “This is a job for agents.”

Raindrop AI: Agent Observability and Simulation

Raindrop AI finds critical issues in agents running in production and simulates fixes based on past user behavior before deploying them live. Ben Hylak, CTO, told VentureBeat that the problem is getting worse as agents become more capable: “As agents become more capable, complexity increases, as do timelines; they are running for hours or days in some cases.”

The platform captures messages, tool calls, retries, and errors in a single audit log, with human notifications via Slack when issues arise.

Arcade.dev: Agent Authorization at Runtime

Arcade.dev provides a secure agent runtime that handles authentication and authorization so agents can act on behalf of real users with real permissions. Sam Partee, co-founder and CTO, told VentureBeat that every action is attributable to the exact moment in time with least-privilege scopes. The platform plugs into existing role-based access controls, intrusion detection systems, and enterprise policies.

Omilia: Autonomous Customer Service

Omilia handles more than 3 billion calls a year and processes over 1 million voice calls per day in some deployments, with 30 to 45% improvement in time to resolution, according to CPO Claudio Rodrigues at VentureBeat. The company reported 21x more upsell revenue from AI agents compared to human agents in mature deployments, with automation reaching 80 to 90%.

“Human in the loop is still very fundamental for us,” Rodrigues said.

The Orchestration Phase

The five presentations illustrate a shift in the agent infrastructure market. Through early 2026, the focus was individual agent capability: building a single agent that could plan, reason, and use tools. The VB Transform lineup addresses a later-stage problem: what happens when enterprises deploy dozens or hundreds of agents that need to coordinate, trust each other’s outputs, and produce compliance-grade audit trails.

AWS Bedrock AgentCore, Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, and Azure AI Agent Service have each announced orchestration, governance, and observability features in the past week. The VB Transform startups are building the same capabilities as standalone products, betting that enterprises will want best-of-breed infrastructure rather than bundled platform solutions.
